I know it can get boring reading an essay on someone’s life, so thought I’d sum it up in 18 facts ‘about me’. It turns out, I can do it in just nine. What's the point in dragging it out, we're all busy people, so let's go!

1. First picked up a club aged 8. If it was up to my dad I probably would have ended up riding motorbikes. My mum decided golf was a safer alternative.

2. Somehow achieved a hole in one a few months later...then waited 20 years for my second.

3. Captained Cheshire Boys, and was a regular in the senior squad. Unbeaten in Singles.

4. Spent 4 years on a Golf Scholarship at Webber International University, Florida. A great period of my life, where responsibilities were almost non existent, and stress was minimal. I lived on a golf course and played golf in the sun, what wasn't to love! Even made it to the national championship. GOOOOOO WARRIORS!!!!

5. Turned professional in 2008; won a professional tournament as an amateur. Didn't even get a free lunch whilst the 2nd placed man picked up the cheque.

6. LFC fan and season ticket holder. Regularly go the match, get annoyed and definitely think we'll win the league.

7. Love the Moto GP and Isle of Man TT; my Dad raced in the IOM for years and I’ve followed it ever since.

8. Tiger Woods is the best to ever play the game, anyone that argues different is lying.

9. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to play golf at the highest level and it's taken a lot of hard work to be able to say with confidence that I believe that I'll get there. I'm still a work in progress but hopefully there'll be something you can take from my experience to apply to your own game. If your game doesn't improve, I take no responsibility, it's all your fault.
